About us
Mill House is a small family farm which is run by the Kellet family. The farm is a family business run by Raymond and Diane together with their son, Andrew and daughters Alison and Rachel.
We currently have a flock of 200 sheep which lamb around March each year and 190 cattle, as well as land for growing crops to feed our animals over the winter.
We have a strong focus on the farm around sustainability, in 2012 we put up two wind turbines to supply electricity to the farm and now the pods which also have air source heat pumps to power the hot tubs. We then installed a bore hole in 2014, which supplies all the water to the farm. We are also heavily involved in environmental schemes to promote wildlife and environmental diversification.
In 2019, we had the idea to open a glamping site, to share the beautiful location with our guests. All of the work has either been carried out by the family, or using local trades peoples from the area, even the pods were built just 30 minutes away from the site in Morecambe.

The surrounding areas of Mill House Farm Pods offer scenic countryside and a peaceful atmosphere. Nearby attractions include Wallings Ice Cream and the Farm Yard Brew Co., perfect for a taste of local produce. Lancaster, a historic city, is a short drive away, known for its landmarks like Lancaster Castle and the Ashton Memorial. For a livelier experience, the seaside town of Blackpool is also within reach, with its iconic tower, pier, and attractions. This mix of rural charm and urban access makes it an ideal spot for exploration.
Our pods
Set in a quiet, secluded corner of our farm are our four luxury glamping pods – Lapwing Lodge, Curlew Corner, Jackdaw’s Den and Mallard View.
Surrounded by lush grass and trees, the only sounds you are likely to hear is the breeze in the trees, the birds and farm animals close by. Each of our pods has its own private outdoor patio area with a hot tub and a fire pit/BBQ. Ideal for a perfectly relaxing break away.
Inside, each pod is equipped with a sumptuous double bed, a sofa, a smart TV, microwave/combi oven, an induction hob, a fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher and underfloor heating – great for cosy nights in all year round. There is also a fully fitted bathroom with shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
